The Andoke Foundation, a butterfly zoo, is a peri-urban proposal for environmental education and experimentation. Just 20 minutes from the center of the city of Cali, in its first mountains to the west, representing an unusual, attractive and educational experience for visitors. All of us at Andoke look for our steps having a minimal impact where we travel, knowing our environment, caring for and serving all people interested in learning on this path, seeking coherence between environmental discourse and our actions. We developed an Environmental Education and Living Program for the Preservation and Coexistence in Harmony with Natural Resources, through the creation of a space in which visitors experience the conservation of the ecosystem, with a wooded garden, integrated with a butterfly garden covered by Polisombra mesh, which houses more than 15 native species of butterflies with all their host plants and other environmental needs. It also has a large scale map of Colombia where you can see all the geographical regions, their hydrography, main cities, fauna and flora.
