Prayas is founded by a team of young and committed individuals from diversified social and economic background consisting of corporate professionals, social activists, college going students and people from different walks of life, the common factor being our roots from rural areas. We are unified by a common goal of improving the future of children and youth of rural India. We are working towards developing a support system for the students and youth where they can get required support from our team of volunteers who will support them, in studies, provide them career guidance/counselling, educate them about the different skill development programs being run by the governments, private sectors and institutions. At Prayas Rural Development Foundation (PRDF) we are committed towards empowering rural students by making their access to basic quality education to higher education. Our mission is to help students and schools to inspire and support to be passionate about their learning while preparing them to play active and productive roles in their respective areas of life. It is our belief that this is best accomplished within the framework of a student-centered approach to education.
