Doce Flautistas is a music training group in the city's Aracy neighborhood. It emerged from a partnership between the City Hall and UFSCar in 2007, and was part of the extinct Ciranda Cultural program. To this day, it continues to work, but with a partnership between the NGO Proara and the Federal University. The Proara NGO is a non-governmental organization made up of residents of the Aracy city neighborhood. The NGO develops more work in the sports field and has recently added other modalities. Currently the project serves 200 children, aiming to educate young people to exercise citizenship.
