The Casa do Menor Trabalhador is responsible for the development of socio-educational actions for continuing education, for the promotion of formative actions for social and professional qualification for adolescents, youth and their families and for raising the educational level of children, adolescents and young people through articulation with the Secretary of State for Education, Culture and Sports (SECD). The institution serves 350 full-time children and 600 young people in professional qualification. Every year, 90% of the young people served are sent to the formal job market.
