The District Secretary of Women is a body of the central sector with administrative and financial autonomy, created thanks to Agreement 490 of 2012 of the Council of Bogotá D.C. Its purpose is to lead, direct, coordinate, articulate and execute the stages of design, formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of public policies for women, through intra and intersectoral, territorial and population coordination of these public policies, as well as of the plans, programs and projects that correspond to it for the recognition, guarantee and restitution of rights and the promotion of the capacities and opportunities of women.
