Brite has developed an electrolyte material, which is ink jet printable and converts to a solid state. This material has profound benefits as compared to traditional liquid or gel type materials, especially in the area of reliability in outdoor applications. The hybrid organic-inorganic compound creates a nanotube structure which has excellent thermal insulating qualities. Initial test data shows a lamination of two pieces of glass with the electrolyte in between has 3-4 times better thermal insulation that dual pane low E glass windows.
