Established in 1997, SLSP was established by CED as an outreach program under the inspiration of the late Br. Andrew Gonzalez FSC, then president of DLSU. The preschool provides quality preschool education to children in the Leveriza area and nearby urban poor communities. The SLSP was established in 1997 by the late Br. Andrew Gonzalez FSC and Dr. Carmelita Quebengco as a way of helping DLSU's partner communities while also serving as a training ground for future Lasallian teachers. Now on its 20th year, the free education for preschool children of indigent families in the communities surrounding DLSU encourages volunteer students, faculty and alumni to promote St. La Salle's commitment to make Lasallian education accessible to all.
