ACT for the Disappeared is a Lebanese Human Rights association which mission is to: Engage Lebanese citizens, with a focus on the youth, in efforts to address Lebanon's past legacy of enforced disappearances. Support a meaningful and sustainable solution to the issue of those who disappeared during the Lebanese civil war. ACT aims to bridge the gap between the demands of the families of the disappeared and society at large. It focuses on increasing knowledge about the issues, and reframing the public discussion by highlighting its humanitarian aspects and the concrete steps needed to reach a solution. It also aims to enable people, especially the families of the disappeared, to express themselves more vocally on the issue and to support them in becoming active actors on the issue.
