Yusp (formerly Gravity R&D) is a fast-growing company that provides recommendation solutions that help our clients increase their revenues while boosting user experience at the same time. Our goal is to determine the best relationship between personal taste and other preferences through sophisticated, scalable algorithms. Yusp has now developed more than 100 algorithms specifically for key areas like e-commerce, classifieds, marketplaces, and content sites. Our competitive advantage is directly related to our ability to instantly recognize and address opportunities to boost KPIs. This is the principle reason why Yusp completed 5 A/B tests in 2014 for enterprise clients and signed long term contracts with all five. Yusp, as an R&D company with a team of 35 people (4 PhDs), has been focusing on Data Science since 2006: the research and development of recommendation algorithms and their applications to a multitude of business models. The core of this team comprises of the same data scientists that, as the leaders of The Ensemble team, tied for first place in the Netflix Prize competition and are now also key members of the EU-funded CrowdRec project which aims to develop the next generation of recommendation systems.
