Project Light Up!, inspired from Project Unplug of AIESEC DAVAO, envisions to provide clean and cheap renewable energy to the people especially to the marginalized sector of the community. It is a common reality in Mindanao, especially in the remote places, where people cannot afford to have electricity in their households. Moreover, the whole island of Mindanao has been experiencing rotational brownout for 3 consecutive years already. To alleviate this issue, we created this project to give the citizens of this city an option to resort to a cleaner source of energy – renewable energies.
