George Town risks losing its shine as a heritage city if it continues to be exploited as merely a tourist town that eviction of old tennant with their traditional trades that are the key factors that have helped give the city its heart and soul. Embrace Culture, Explore Penang (ECEP) project is a 6-week project aiming to rediscover the Penang's long-forgotton culture as well as the local signature culture through cycling and fact-finding. With preserve culture and heritage value in Penang as the ultimate goal, we plan to achieve the following outcomes through this project together with Penang State Tourism Development & Culture: (i) raising awareness of public and students about preservation of local culture and herigatage value in Georgetown Festival (ii) Provide a platform to promote long-lost culture brochure in Penang World Heritage (iii) Local Village that promote Penang's culture in different perspective.
