Learn a little bit about this organization

The Botanical Garden ofMaracaibo one of the most famous projects of Brazilian Landscaper Burle Marx The Botanical Garden of Maracaibo is one of the most suitable places to spend a day in contact with nature: this garden has more than 100 hectares of natural spaces of which only 30 are equipped to receive tourists, visitors and inhabitants of the city. These spaces, which remained closed for 10 years, were re-established in 2011 thanks to a joint work among non-profit sectors, members of this foundation dedicated to preserving spaces for biodiversity, and contributions from the Government of Zulia State whose initiatives aimed at creating tourist spaces in the Zulia have materialized over time. The garden has more than eight kilometers of internal road, for walks, bicycle rides, spaces to share a picknick, student walks, vacation camps, among other activities. During 2016, more than five thousand children visited, in the holiday season, the garden and in recent months the place has become a regional reference for photographic sessions. Its colors, spaces and textures are a paradise for the lens of a photographer.
