The Dancing is Art serves about 150 (one hundred fifty) young people from low-income families, aged 6-18 years old, students from public schools, coming from cities Granja do Torto, Structural Vila, Varjão, Ceilândia and Paranoá, enabling access of young people to dance from classical ballet, acknowledging the diversity of styles that characterize the cultural identity and intangible heritage of Brazilian dance. It also contributes to the preservation of traditional culture through contact these young people and, consequently, their communities with folklore. Operating since 2000, the Dancing is art has achieved a level of recognition and credibility with the Department of DF Culture, Ministry of Culture and other partners, with the realization of the show presentations that impress the public by the plasticity of gestures and the lightness of smiling children and young members of the project. The presentations enable the attributes and skills developed are revealed and gain space in the media resulting in the recovery of self-esteem by visibility to society, producing hours of interviews and documentaries.
