The Clean Our Plate project, a project collaborating with a social enterprise called Food Ninja. It is created to change the perspective of the public towards surplus food as a food for human consumption. AIESEC in UTM takes the initiative to run this food waste project. The key activities in this project are the Awareness Campaign, Food Donation Hub, Workshop and Surplus Kitchen. The Food Donation Hub activity aims to build a few food donation hubs around Malaysia to serve as a drop­off point for the public to donate food to help charities. The Surplus Kitchen activity allows the public to get a chance of tasting a meal that is cooked by using surplus food. These activities aims to reach out to a large audience. It will achieve its objectives and benefit society as a whole. This is project can educate the Johor society on the importance of food waste reduction and how to utilize food waste.
