In the rural community, children in school are a priority, at least for a group of volunteers who created the Taipa Little School project. It serves 49 children 2-13 years studying at the Municipal School Nossa Senhora da Conceição in rural Miguel Alves. Sensitized by the situation of children, they decided to help the institution that I have only had good results after their arrival. "Our mission is to give visibility to the reality of this school that survived for 15 years with a clay and mud structure, school accredited by MEC," says Flaviane Tajra, one of the volunteers of Lumens group, which developed the project. It means lumens brightness and energy, intrinsic characteristic of each of the group members.
