In the early 90s, the challenges to present the organization’s results originated the first Brazilian Performance Management tool, the GPD (in Portuguese) software - Management by Objectives. At that time, when the ERPs were not yet used by companies, it was common to keep the managerial information in spreadsheets and the decision making process was based on data scattered in different files or systems, without the necessary security and validation. At the turn of the century, the ERP market was consolidated and, even facing worldwide solutions used in large and medium enterprises, managers were still used to the variety of spreadsheets and systems and, consequently, made decisions based on unreliable data. The confirmation that people wanted not only automate data collection, storage and disclosure, but also practical and easy to use tools, able to simplify the complexity of management models, presented a new opportunity, which resulted in the founding of Siteware, in 2000. Since then, Siteware solutions build bridges between the IT and the managers’ universe, allowing the alignment of the whole company and, specially, the dissemination of the result oriented culture throughout organizations. Simplicity became a banner for Siteware, in order to untangle people’s everyday life. Our difference is in the ability to extract the essence of the several management models and to apply them to simple and easy to use systems that help companies come alive.
