Our association is engaged in providing people with disabilities education, participation in creative activities and recreation, through the Center of Creative Employment (ΚΔΕΑ-ΜΕΑ) and other supporting structures. Thus, these young people are given the opportunity to get out of their homes or guest houses, to get educated and to actively participate in workshops, according to their capabilities and the nature of their disability. Simultaneously, they are given the chance to have fun and interact with each other as well as with the volunteers of the program in a spirit of companionship. In a few words, our association is promoting the socialization of young people with disabilities, while boosting their confidence through creativity and the sense of offering. Additionally, the program is enabling the work of these youngsters’ families, by ensuring them valuable free time and by providing them access to relevant supporting structures and services.
