Project
Fingerprint: Sports for Development
Fingerprint is a four-week Global Volunteer project in Sfax, Tunisia, designed to promote physical activity, healthy lifestyles, and personal development among children and young people through sports and recreational activities.
The project creates an inclusive environment where participants can discover different sports, develop physical abilities, build confidence, and learn the importance of teamwork, discipline, respect, and fair play.
International volunteers will collaborate with local sports organizations to organize interactive training sessions, recreational games, sports challenges, and team competitions. Participants will have opportunities to explore different sports, improve their coordination, develop communication skills, and experience the value of collaboration.
Beyond physical activity, the project uses sports as a tool for social inclusion, intercultural exchange, and positive youth development. Volunteers will introduce sporting activities and traditions from their home countries while encouraging participants to respect diversity and support one another.
Throughout the four weeks, participants will progress from discovering different sports to practicing teamwork, developing their abilities, and participating in a final sports event.
By the end of the project, participants are expected to demonstrate increased engagement in physical activities, stronger collaboration, and a better understanding of healthy lifestyles and sportsmanship.
