Language Bridges: Italian Through Culture Language Bridges is a four-week Global Volunteer project in Sfax, Tunisia, designed to help children develop their French communication skills through interactive, creative, and culturally enriching learning experiences.

Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Icebreakers and introductions in French.
Basic vocabulary, greetings, and everyday expressions.
French games and a baseline language activity.
Introducing the volunteer's country and culture.
Week 2
Vocabulary games and interactive challenges.
Colors, numbers, animals, food, family, and daily routines.
Storytelling, songs, and pronunciation exercises.
Pair work and simple conversations.
Week 3
Arts, crafts and presentations in simple French.
Cultural exchange workshops.
Role-play in real-life situations.
Team challenges encouraging communication and collaboration.
Week 4
French communication challenges.
Group projects and short presentations.
Final language and confidence activities.
A cultural showcase celebrating children's achievements.
