Project
Scale Up: Web Development for Local Impact
Scale Up is a four-week Global Volunteer project in Sfax, Tunisia, designed to help local organizations, NGOs, and small businesses strengthen their digital presence through practical web development solutions.
The project brings together international volunteers and local organizations to develop or improve websites that support organizational visibility, communication, and access to information.
Volunteers will work with the hosting organization to identify its digital needs, define the website's core requirements, design user-friendly interfaces, and implement functional web pages and features. Depending on the organization's needs and existing infrastructure, activities may include website creation, responsive design, front-end development, content integration, contact forms, basic database functionality, and website optimization.
The project follows an execution-oriented approach: volunteers begin building early, deliver a functional website or agreed core features, test the solution with the host organization, and prepare documentation for continued maintenance.
By the end of the project, the organization is expected to receive a usable digital solution aligned with its needs, together with the documentation and knowledge required to maintain and improve it.
Build solutions. Connect communities. Scale local impact.
