Project
Paroles du Monde: French Through Culture Paroles du Monde is a four-week Global Volunteer project in Sfax, Tunisia, designed to help children develop their French communication skills through interactive, creative, and culturally enriching learning experiences. The project brings together international volunteers and local children aged 6–12 in a welcoming learning environment where French becomes more than a school subject. Through educational games, storytelling, role-play, songs, creative workshops, and cultural exchange, children will have opportunities to practice French, expand their vocabulary, express themselves, and build confidence in communicating with others. Volunteers will collaborate with the local organization to prepare and facilitate age-appropriate activities that complement formal education and encourage active participation. By sharing elements of their cultures and discovering Tunisian culture, volunteers and children will develop intercultural awareness while using French as a common language. By the end of the project, children are expected to demonstrate greater willingness to speak French, improved familiarity with everyday vocabulary and expressions, and increased confidence in participating in group activities. Four weeks. One shared language. A world of possibilities.
