Project Activities

Week 1
Meet the team (Understanding our people, our culture and the guest experience)
Encouraging sustainability and responsible tourism & help to create a welcoming environment
Create Tasks (Property photography * Welcome videos * Instagram Stories * “First Impressions of Sri Lanka” * One introductory Reel)
Support community building activities (Volunteer onboarding and orientation * Meet your team * Introduction to DBI Hotels and CoNomad * Property familiarisation * Understanding Sri Lankan hospitality * Learn local customs and etiquette * Greeting and interacting with guests * Helping guests connect with one another * Sharing destination recommendations * Shadow Front Office and Guest Relations * Attend operational briefings)

Week 2
Marketing Support Assist with: Canva designs * Video editing * Social media planning * Promotional material * Content scheduling
Assist with organizing social dinners, game nights, movie nights, beach gatherings, cultural evenings, community activities, Digital nomad meetups, wellness and lifestyle events
Support community building activities (Meet and engage with: * Local cafés * Restaurants * Artists * Entrepreneurs * Surf schools * Activity providers * Local suppliers * Community organizations)
Assist in identifying future collaborations and partnerships that enhance guest experiences. (Daily Instagram Stories * Photography * Reels * Hidden Gem features * Local interviews * Food features * Destination guides)
Taking photos & videos, documenting local experiences, capturing guest activities and events
Week 3
Help showcase properties and destinations by taking photos and videos, creating instagram stories and reels ( * Behind-the-scenes stories * Staff interviews * Sustainability content * “A Day at DBI” videos * Property showcases)
Encouraging sustainability and responsible tourism & help to create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests
Promote respectful cultural exchange & sustainability (Support initiatives including: * Responsible tourism * Waste reduction * Environmental awareness * Community clean-ups * Local conservation initiatives * Guest education)
Greetings and interacting with guests & Help guests to connect with one another (* Front Office * Guest Relations * Housekeeping * Food & Beverage * Reservations * OTA management * Revenue support * Administration)
Week 4
Support for Marketing & Content (* Photography * Videography * Instagram Stories * Reels * Canva design * Blog writing * Destination guides * Social media engagement * Property showcases) & Community Engagement (* Meet local communities * Visit cafés and attractions * Identify collaboration opportunities * Build local partnerships * Organise community events * Promote cultural exchange)
