The project aims to impact SDG #8 by providing young people with soft and hard skills trainings, needed to qualify for a decent job, and career guidance.

Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Working Space & Partner Visitation- Visit the partner (North South Initiative)
One to One- A safe space for participants to address their concerns
Team Bonding- To bond with the project team and networking
Train the Trainer (TtT)- Skills training for the volunteer
Incoming Preparation Seminar- A seminar to equip the volunteers for the project.
Week 2
CV Clinic Workshop- A workshop organized by the participants open to everyone to fix their professional resumes
Partner Visitation- Visiting the partner’s office or sites for the migrant workers
Paper Trading- An event related to the introduction to stock investment and stock markets together with the learning partners.
Train the Trainer (TtT)- Skills training for the volunteer
Working Space- In preparation for the events.
Week 3
How to Budget Workshop- A workshop organized by the volunteers open to the public on the basics of budgeting.
Working Space- In preparation for the events.
Site Visit- The volunteers will be encouraged to go around Malaysia for a side visit
Partner Visitation- Visiting the partner’s office or sites for the migrant workers
Week 4
Voices Beyond Border (Cultural Night)- A fun event to showcase the cultures of the volunteers.
Partner Visitation- Visiting the partner’s office or sites for the migrant workers
Working Space- In preparation for the events.
One to One- A safe space for participants to address their concerns
