Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Close to Nature-Hiking: A one day hike at a nearby mountain with waterfalls to enjoy nature, get in touch with the environment and form bonds between volunteers, project team and local volunteers.
Rainforest Exploration: A visit to a local rainforest to learn about local climate and environment.
Mangrove Mission-Growing Blue Carbon: An activity centered around planting mangrove trees with the local community.
Endangered Animals Conservation: An activity with a local animal conservation centre to contribute to protecting endangered species.
Train the Trainer-Facilitation Workshop: A workshop to train and simulate facilitation and leadership skills among youth.
Week 2
Leadership Bootcamp: A 3-day-2-night bootcamp for local teenagers to develop youth leadership and self discovery amongst themselves
Waste to Wealth: A site visit to a recycling centre to learn about upcycling recycling in Malaysia.
Global Village: A cultural event to promote different cultures to local teenagers through booths and interactive performances
Sri Paya: ECHO Explorace: A half-day interactive Explorace in Kampung Sri Paya where primary school students complete environmental-themed challenges to promote climate action and environmental awareness.
Week 3
5W1H Workshop: A workshop on problem analysis, critical thinking and pitching.
Social Care Action-Showing Love to People: An activity hosted by the volunteers and OP students with a local orphanage/refugee centre to raise awareness about climate change and environmental issues.
Train the Trainer-Facilitation Workshop: A workshop hosted by the volunteers to train and simulate facilitation and leadership skills among OP students.
Waste Collection Drive-River Cleaning: A community-driven river cleaning event focused on collecting waste to protect the local ecosystem and promote environmental awareness.
Week 4
School Workshop-Activate Impact: An interactive session where EPs and OPs student co-create and lead a hands-on eco-friendly workshop on beeswax wraps, followed by a shared reflection to capture project learnings and insights.
Composting Workshop: Provide hands- on training to turn organic waste into nutrient-rich soil /practical demonstrations on transforming food scraps into garden fertilizer
A Restaurant Game: A booth-setting activity at a local environmental awareness event to build crisis management and project management skills.
Appreciation Space: A half-day appreciation space with the charity school to reflect on the entire volunteering experience and show appreciation to the volunteers and students
