The project aims to impact SDG #8 by providing young people with soft and hard skills trainings, needed to qualify for a decent job, and career guidance.

Role

Project Activities

Week 1
● Onboarding space with partner representative to understand the context and urgent needs of the youth.
● With the help of the partner or teacher, create an assessment to evaluate beneficiaries soft and hard skills
● Create and prepare material for the sessions, dynamics and workshops of the following weeks.
● Understanding working Knowledge of the Software or hardware used
Week 2
● Mentorship/buddy program based on what soft skills participants want to develop.
● Introductory session with the beneficiaries, presentation of the volunteers and project objectives.
● Coordinate sessions with individual participants to identify at skills they want to develop. Set up a PDP with them
● Assessment of their current hard and soft skills: where can they improve?
Week 3
● The project will include activities and workshops focused on both soft and hard skills development.
● Participants will engage in introspection exercises to identify their strengths and weaknesses, followed by workshops on communication, leadership, problem-solving, and other essential soft skills.
● Creative brainstorming sessions and dynamic activities will foster innovation and adaptability
● For hard skills, the project offers digital skills workshops and access to online assessments, with personalized learning plans.
● Mentorship sessions will provide hands-on guidance in fields like data analysis and digital marketing.
● Beneficiaries will also learn job application skills through workshops on CV writing, interviews, and self-branding.
● A Career Day event and participation in job fairs will connect them with professionals, offering career insights and opportunities
Week 4
● The closing day will include a debrief with beneficiaries to discuss their development, reflect on the successes of the project
● identify areas for improvement, which will also be incorporated into the final report.
● The project will conclude with data collection from beneficiaries through surveys, interviews, or focus groups to assess the impact and outcomes, particularly the level of awareness gained post activities.
● The data will be analyzed to determine the project's effectiveness
● A final report summarizing the findings will be created and presented to AIESEC members and NGO/non-profit representatives.
