Project Eco City [6 weeks]
The project aims to impact the SDG #12 by raising awareness about the importance of sustainable communities & lifestyle through volunteer's experiences

Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Onboarding space with partner representatives to understand the current scenario, beneficiaries and discuss about the outcome of the project
Having time for the orientation at OP Library and Campus tour of Korea University.
Introductory session with the beneficiaries, presentation of the volunteers and project objectives.
Run the initial assessment needed for measuring the outcome/impact of the project
Preparing the activities that will be done in the following weeks and receiving feedback from the partners and AIESEC
Create an implementation plan on how the project should unfold and determine materials to be used
Week 2
Research and analyze: Sustainable practices and learnings for agriculture work
Workshop: Present to the partners Good Case Practices on agriculture activities that has been developed on recent studies and come up with an implementation plan together
Fieldwork: Animal Welfare in sustainable farming
Capture and document the fieldwork, then create a reel or post to share on social media, helping to raise awareness and promote the project’s impact.
Facilitate 'Eco Mini-City' workshop: Building sustainable cities using recycled paper to practice SDG 12.
Shadowing phase with partner on current agriculture practices
Week 3
Workshop: Present to the partners Good Case Practices on agriculture activities that has been developed on recent studies and come up with an implementation plan together
Fieldwork: Animal Welfare in sustainable farming
Lead 'Making Scenarios' workshop: Imagining endings for environmental storybooks to solve the climate crisis.
Facilitate 'Making My Own Popup Book': Guiding children to visualize creative SDG solutions through 3D art.
Capture and document the fieldwork, then create a reel or post to share on social media, helping to raise awareness and promote the project’s impact.
Shadowing phase with partner on current agriculture practices
Research and analyze: Sustainable practices and learnings for agriculture work
Week 4
Documenting sustainable lifestyle practices introduced and implemented in the partners' site
Research and analyze: Current sustainable practices and responsible consumption actions the partner has
Outdoor activities e.g Treasure hunting with childrens in contact with the nature, Artistic expression with teens using recycling materials, Running or other human-powered activities for young adults and adults
Round Table: Responsible Consumption in our day-by-day life e.g water and energy control, food waste, obsolete devices usage, fashion industry and sustainability...
Workshop: Present ideas/examples of recycling activities to implement in the beneficiaries' daily routines
Facilitate 'Global Culture Sharing': Interactive storytelling sessions sharing environmental efforts from home countries.
Week 5
Documenting sustainable lifestyle practices introduced and implemented in the partners' site
Workshop: Present ideas/examples of recycling activities to implement in the beneficiaries' daily routines
Round Table: Responsible Consumption in our day-by-day life e.g water and energy control, food waste, obsolete devices usage, fashion industry and sustainability...
Outdoor activities e.g Treasure hunting with childrens in contact with the nature, Artistic expression with teens using recycling materials, Running or other human-powered activities for young adults and adults
Research and analyze: Current sustainable practices and responsible consumption actions the partner has
Week 6
Debrief the impact of the project, how the beneficiaries developed, discuss about what went well and even better if and include this in the report
Analyse data to determinate outcome/impact results (level of awareness of beneficiaries post-project activities).
Build final project report and presented to AIESEC members and NGO/non-profit representatives.
Closing day with beneficiaries
Collect data from beneficiaries (you can use surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.)
Having time for the Farewell Party
