Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Week 1: Onboarding & Context Exploration Introduction to Tunisia’s architectural identity (Mediterranean, Arab, and modern influences) Site visits to ongoing projects (renovation sites, public spaces, community centers) Training on safety, tools, and sustainable design approaches Understanding community needs and project objectives
Week 2
Week 2: Design & Concept Development Participate in brainstorming and co-creation sessions Develop sketches, mood boards, and simple architectural concepts Assist in digital tools (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or manual drafting) Collaborate with local architects and youth
Week 3
Week 3: Implementation & Field Work Support on-site activities such as: Renovation and space improvement Painting, decorating, and structural adjustments Basic construction assistance Apply sustainable practices (use of local materials, eco-design principles)
Week 4
Week 4: Finalization & Impact Delivery Final touches on the project (finishing, detailing, presentation) Document the work (photos, reports, design portfolios) Present outcomes to the community or stakeholders Reflection sessions on learning and cultural exchange
