Role

Project Activities

Week 1
EPs start the project by bonding with the children and the school’s adorable resident pets, such as cats, dogs, and rabbits. Through interactive games, children learn the English names of these animals, colors, and body parts like ears, tails, and paws. EPs and children work together to feed the rabbits and assist in the daily care of the cats and dogs. The week concludes with a creative session where each child draws their favorite animal and presents its English name to the class.
Week 2
The second week focuses on farm animals, including sheep, goats, geese, and ducks. EPs and children feed the animals while observing their movements, and the children learn to imitate their sounds (quack, baa) in English. The lessons cover numbers and action verbs like walk, jump, and swim through role-playing. To make the learning process fun and rhythmic, everyone joins in singing the classic English song "Old MacDonald Had a Farm."
Week 3
This week is dedicated to direct contact with the earth and nature, focusing on the core of SDG 15. EPs teach the children how to plant seeds and care for plants. Essential nature vocabulary such as soil, water, sun, and seed is introduced in English. Each child takes responsibility for planting their own seed in a pot or the school garden. Activities include observing the living creatures within the soil, watering the plants, and learning about the importance of protecting terrestrial life through hands-on experience.
Week 4
The final week is for reinforcing what has been learned and celebrating the project's success. EPs lead creative art workshops using stones, leaves, and recycled materials gathered from nature to explain the importance of sustainability. The English focus shifts to emotions (happy, love nature) and farewell phrases. The project concludes with a farewell picnic in the garden alongside the animals, where EPs present the children with "Nature Protector" cards to make their environmental awareness and English progress permanent.
