The project aims to contribute to SDG #17 by building up the capacity of local NGO, non-profit organizations and/or foundations to contribute to social impact in their communities by collaborating with local social projects and engaging with grass-groot initiatives.

Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Run the initial assessment needed for measuring the outcome/impact of the project (surveys, interviews, etc.).
Introductory session with the beneficiaries, presentation of the volunteers and project objectives.
Onboarding space with partner representatives to understand the current scenario, beneficiaries and expected outcomes of the project.
Design the activities and workshops that will be implemented in the following weeks and receive feedback from the partner and AIESEC.
Prepare the implementation plan of the project together with the partner and determine the materials needed for the upcoming workshops.
Observe existing classes and workshops to understand how the organization currently runs its activities.
Week 2
Gather feedback from students, parents and instructors about the current workshops and possible improvements.
Identify potential collaborators (local artists, cultural groups, student clubs).
Build a development plan to improve the workshops and the visibility of the partner.
Workshop with the partner: Stakeholder mapping and community engagement in arts and culture.
Analyse the partner’s current programs, branding and communication channels.
Research similar art schools or cultural initiatives and identify good practices in creative education and community engagement.
Week 3
Design a clear participant flow for new students joining workshops.
Create or improve the branding guideline and communication style for the art center’s workshops and events.
Support the partner in improving their social media presence and online visibility.
Organize and run creative workshops led by volunteers related to music, dance or visual arts (e.g., cultural dance workshop, rhythm/music workshop, collaborative art creation).
Prepare a creative networking / showcase event to promote the partner and its activities.
Week 4
Closing session with beneficiaries including reflection on their learning experience and cultural exchange.
Run online campaigns to promote the partner’s workshops and attract new participants.
Host a community networking event connecting artists, participants and potential collaborators
Conduct surveys or interviews with participants to measure the impact of the workshops.
Analyse the results and prepare the final project report with insights and recommendations.
Organize art showcase or performance events (music performance, dance show, art exhibition) involving beneficiaries and volunteers.
