The project aims to aims to impact the SDG #4 by developing high-level cognitive and transferable skills to people at all ages through activities and/or workshops connected to arts production (e.g painting, sculpture, music, theatre, photography...)

Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Onboarding session with the partner to define expectations regarding the project’s artistic focus and the development of the beneficiaries On-the-job shadowing to understand future routines and the profiles you wi
On-the-job shadowing to understand future routines and the profiles you will be working with
Training on how to manage and engage the project’s beneficiaries
Get to know the staff and the beneficiaries
Week 2
Develop and present an activity schedule, taking into account the beneficiaries’ learning journey from practical learning to direct experience, such as peer tutoring, chain drawings, puzzles, etc.
Introductory session on the project, the Sustainable Development Goals, and presentation of the volunteer to the students.
Deliver interactive lessons throughout the week to understand the beneficiaries’ background in the arts and their professional and personal dreams for the future.
Design and prepare teaching methodologies and materials (from activity instructions to raw materials and ingredients).
Week 3
Propose activities that explore imagination, problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and communication skills among the beneficiaries
Organize introductory artistic activities for the beneficiaries, allowing them to have a first contact with different artistic materials and media (for example drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, etc.)
Week 4
Complete the main project and organize an art exhibition showcasing all the artistic activities developed over the past weeks.
Set up a “creative brainstorming” session to define the artistic development of the project with the beneficiaries (for example, the media they will work with, the expected final creation, and how to produce it).
Break down the final project into smaller activities and define the person responsible for each part of the overall creation (for example, organizing, forming interest groups, linking with previous activity outputs, etc.).
