The project aims to contribute to SDG #8 by enhancing the capacity of local communities to build a promote sustainable local tourism activities that bring revenue and boost employavility in the region.

Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Learn basic café procedures such as cleaning, workspace organization, and simple drink preparation.
Engage with local people to better understand community perspectives beyond typical tourist attractions.
Observe daily operations to understand service processes, customer flow, and café atmosphere.
Introduction to The Mong Lingo coffee shop and its role in the local community.

Introduction session with partner representatives to understand the local context, beneficiaries, and project outcomes.
Explore the surrounding area and observe daily life in Đồng Văn to understand local culture and characteristics.
Week 2
Develop targeted outreach strategies to engage identified stakeholders, including messaging, communication methods, and potential collaboration proposals.
Start taking photos and videos, capturing moments and stories that reflect the spirit of The Mong Lingo.
Support coffee shop tasks such as welcoming customers, guiding seating, cleaning, and maintaining hygiene.
Practice customer service skills in a multicultural environment, especially with tourists visiting Dong Van
Support the team during peak hours to ensure smooth coffee shop operations.
Week 3
Participate in marketing activities to attract local customers and international tourists.
Support the creation of media posts such as short videos, storytelling content, behind-the-scenes materials, and promotional content.
Take photos, record videos, and create content to promote The Mong Lingo coffee shop and English classes.
Have a chance to go on field trip with Partner around Dong Van, Ha Giang
Week 4
Collect data from beneficiaries (surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.).
Analyze data to identify results and impact (level of beneficiaries’ awareness after the project).
Summarize project impact, how beneficiaries have developed, discuss strengths and areas for improvement, and include them in the final report.
Develop the final project report and present it to AIESEC members and Partner representative
