Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Culture and Art + Multicultural society together with the intern’s introduction (their country, culture, art, customs, and holiday traditions + an activity comparing them with Slovak traditions).
Health Care connected to SDG 3 – the importance of physical and mental health, lifestyle diseases, the impact of social media, well-being, and also maintaining balance between school, life, part-time work, and rest.
Week 2
Traveling – travel opportunities, exploring other countries and their cultures, means of transportation (advantages and disadvantages), the historical development of travel. Comparison of the global concept with the local one.
Education connected to SDG 4 – different types of education, education systems in various countries, the importance of quality education, comparison of the education system in the intern’s country and in Slovakia.
Week 3
Man and Nature connected to SDGs 13, 14, 15 – how climate, weather, and the greenhouse effect are influenced by climate change, coastal environments, and life on Earth. How we affect the future of our planet and how it responds to our behavior (floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, global warming).
Young people and their world together with human relationships – the lifestyle of young people, interests (hobbies, invested time, development…), relationships among each other, generational and international differences as well as shared characteristics.
Week 4
Man and society + Communication – communication styles, differences based on other cultures, ethnicities, economic situations, and safety. Comparison of realities in several countries. Activity for improving soft-skill communication.
Food – different types of eating habits, how culture and the geographical position of a country influence cuisine and used ingredients. Traditional meals, dining style – comparing several countries.
Week 5
Development skills: Communication and presentation skills, teamwork – activity.
SDGs – their existence, basic explanation of each of them, an activity to find out which one students identify with the most.
Week 6
Intern’s language – basic phrases, creating simple dialogues in the intern’s language together with English translations.
