Project
The project aims to contribute to SDG #4.7 by providing and opening spaces for inclusive and equitable quality education for children from disadvantaged villages. We focus on fostering intercultural understanding and breaking down language barriers by offering children access to educational and cultural activities, as volunteers visit multiple villages during the project duration

Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Starting practical life skills: Simple songs and outdoor play.
Finalize lesson plans for the upcoming week.
Introduction to education and educational goals.
An Introductory session will be provided by the Opportunity Provider.
Interacting with children of Discovery kids.
Week 2
Introduction to children and conduct ice breaker activities.
Educational activities focused on basic concepts.
Review and reinforce week's lessons.
Teaching lesson on Animals/ Storytime & discussion about Animals.
Teaching lesson on the Alphabet.
Teaching lessons on numbers & counting.
Week 3
Outdoor play and physical activities.
Teaching lesson on basic maths.
Teaching lessons on basic science (Plants).
Teaching lesson on community helpers/ Role playing activities.
Teaching lesson on weather.
Week 4
Teaching lesson science experiments.
Teaching lesson on History (Important figures).
Teaching lesson on Geography (maps).
Final review session and End of programme celebration with Childen.
Teaching lesson on advance maths.
