The project aims to impact the SDG #3 by raising awareness on prevention of non-communicable diseases and the importance of mental health.

By 2030, reduce by one third premature mortality from non-communicable diseases through prevention and treatment and promote mental health and well-being

Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Onboarding space with partner representatives to understand the current scenario, beneficiaries and discuss about the outcome of the project
Help with therapy sessions and medical assistance
Help with teaching and interacting with the students
Preparing the activities that will be done in the following weeks and receiving feedback from the partners and AIESEC
Introductory session with the beneficiaries, presentation of the volunteers and project objectives.
Week 2
Alignment spaces with organizations that agreed to be partners to prepare for the activities
Creating a promotion strategy to increase the presence in the community (online campaigns, use of social media, local events and promotions)
Help with therapy sessions and medical assistance
Help create interactive and safe spaces and sessions for engagement with the children
Week 3
Help with teaching and interacting with the students
Host small group discussions where beneficiaries can talk about their experiences, challenges, and tips for maintaining good mental and physical health. These can be informal and encourage open dialogue.
Alignment spaces with organizations that agreed to be partners to prepare for the activities
Help with therapy sessions and medical assistance
Week 4
Analyse data to determinate outcome/impact results (level of awareness of beneficiaries post-project activities).
Build final testimonial video and presented to AIESEC members and NGO/non-profit representatives.
Closing day with beneficiaries.
Debrief the impact of the project, how the beneficiaries developed, discuss about what went well and even better if and include this in the report
Collect data from beneficiaries (you can use surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.)
