Project Rooted [4 weeks]
The project aims to impact SDG #15 by building up communities' capacity to respond and act upon the degradation of natural habitat, diversity loss, and the protection of wildlife.

Take urgent and significant action to reduce the degradation of natural habitats, halt the loss of biodiversity and, by 2020, protect and prevent the extinction of threatened species.

Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Onboarding process.
Attend IPS session and city tour with AIESEC in Ruhuna
First day of work.
Research the partner academy.
Prepare necessary materials.
Week 2
Support community initiatives protecting forests, wetlands, and habitats.
Participate in local conservation awareness campaigns.
Create educational material on endangered species.
Develop content on eco-friendly livelihood methods.
Assist in planning future awareness activities.
Week 3
Help with organic farming activities.
Assist with bee-keeping tasks.
Support mushroom cultivation projects.
Contribute to composting initiatives.
Document success stories from these eco-friendly practices.
Week 4
Evaluate the 4 weeks activities.
Conduct the final presentation.
Submit the final report.
Farewell event and vodcasting with AIESEC in Ruhuna.
Prepare the final report.
