The project aims to contribute to SDG #8 by enhancing the capacity of local communities to build a promote sustainable local tourism activities that bring revenue and boost employavility in the region.

Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Prepare activities to be carried out in the following weeks and receive feedback from partners and AIESEC.
Create an implementation plan on how the project will take place and a promotion plan to be implemented; work in groups to develop content ideas and communication plans for the next three weeks.
Explore the surroundings, observe daily life in Huu Lien to grasp local culture and characteristics.

Introduction session with partner representatives to understand the current context, beneficiaries, and discuss project outcomes.
Collect initial materials (photos, videos, stories, notes) for the communication plan.
Week 2
Write and create communication content (social media posts, short stories, blog posts, etc.) expressing messages of sustainable tourism and local culture.
At least one meeting (30 minutes) with Michi Camp to give feedback, evaluate work progress, and agree on the direction for the following week.
Learn teamwork, feedback, and creative content editing skills.
Work with Michi Camp to determine communication style, tone, and brand image.
Taking photos, filming videos, recording moments and stories reflecting the spirit of Michi Camp.
Week 3
Record and communicate through storytelling about daily activities such as farming, animal raising, or community cultural activities to reflect local life and Michi Camp.
Use the volunteers’ international network to expand Michi Camp’s recognition in foreign markets.
At least one meeting (30 minutes) with Michi Camp to give feedback, evaluate work progress, and agree on the direction for the following week.
Post and implement communication content on appropriate platforms under the partner’s direction.
Week 4
Closing day with beneficiaries.
Summarize the project’s impact, how beneficiaries have developed, discuss strengths, areas for improvement, and include in the report.
Collect data from beneficiaries (you can use surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.).
Analyze the data to determine results/impacts (beneficiaries’ level of awareness about activities after the project).
Prepare the final project report and present it to AIESEC members and partner.
