Project
The project aims to contribute to SDG #4 by providing and opening space for quality education for people of all ages, ensuring educational opportunities from initial literacy to other subjects such as mathematics, science and languages.

Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Run the initial assessment needed for measuring the outcome/impact of the project
Onboarding space with partner representatives to understand the current scenario, beneficiaries and discuss about the outcome of the project
Introductory session with the beneficiaries, presentation of the volunteers and project objectives.
Conducting speaking club lessons for students in grades 1-11 on the topics: traditions, holidays, symbols of Ukraine and the volunteer's country
Create an implementation plan on how the project should unfold and determine materials to be used
Preparing the activities that will be done in the following weeks and receiving feedback from the partners and AIESEC
Week 2
Holding an extracurricular event "Cultural Fair"
Dynamic: Introduce beneficiaries to basic vocabulary and phrases in a new language through engaging and interactive games. (eg. Games like Scrabble, Pictionary, or Charades)
Dynamic: Setting up the "Book Club", present the books to be cover during the project and explain the dynamic to the beneficiaries.
Setting up a creative systems to increase the math knowledge of the beneficiaries "Creative Math" (puzzles, games, group activities)
Setting up a buddy system for the beneficiaries to track their development
Help with organizing projects with children
Conducting speaking club lessons for students in grades 1-11 on the topics: cultural diversity, body language, respect for differences
Organize a quiz show-style activity where teams of beneficiaries answer questions related to math, vocabulary, or general knowledge.
Week 3
Holding an extracurricular event “Eco Challenge”
Conducting speaking club lessons for students in grades 1-11 on topics: environmental issues, volunteering, the role of youth in the world
Help with organizing projects with children
Run lessons based on the needs of the student or the school (maths, reading skills, foreign language, etc).
Run dynamics to strengthen what was learned in the lesson of the week. (math games, speaking club, lab practice, etc)
Weekly "Book Club" Meeting
Weekly "Creative Math" Meeting
Run weekly tests to assess main learnings from the week
Week 4
Help with organizing projects with children
Holding an extracurricular event “Ukrainian Culture Day”
Conducting speaking club lessons for students in grades 1-11 on the topics: Ukrainian culture through the eyes of foreigners, music, food, traditions
Run lessons based on the needs of the student or the school (maths, reading skills, foreign language, etc).
Run dynamics to strengthen what was learned in the lesson of the week. (math games, speaking club, lab practice, etc)

Week 5

Run lessons based on the needs of the student or the school (maths, reading skills, foreign language, etc).
Run dynamics to strengthen what was learned in the lesson of the week. (math games, speaking club, lab practice, etc)
Weekly "Book Club" Meeting
Week 6
Holding the final event of “Cultural Celebration Week”
Conducting speaking club lessons for students in grades 1-11 - summing up, discussing the experience gained
Collect data from beneficiaries (you can use surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.)
Analyse data to determinate outcome/impact results (level of awareness of beneficiaries post-project activities).
Build final project report and presented to AIESEC members and NGO/non-profit representatives.
Closing day with beneficiaries
Debrief the impact of the project, how the beneficiaries developed, discuss about what went well and even better if and include this in the report
