The project aims to contribute to SDG #4 by providing and opening space for quality education for people of all ages, ensuring educational opportunities from initial literacy to other subjects such as mathematics, science and languages.

Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Brainstorm ideas for games and learning activities to help students at the center practice their communication skills during lessons.
Exchange information with the project manager about weekly KPIs and regulations related to classroom management and work processes.
Discuss with the project manager to better understand the teaching schedule and the number of classes at the center.
Visit the workplace, accommodation, and chat with other teachers.
Get to know the project manager, director, and staff members at the center.
Introductory session with the beneficiaries, presentation of the volunteers and project objectives.
Run the initial assessment needed for measuring the outcome/impact of the project
Preparing the activities that will be done in the following weeks and receiving feedback from the partners and AIESEC
Onboarding space with partner representatives to understand the current scenario, beneficiaries and discuss about the outcome of the project
Create an implementation plan on how the project should unfold and determine materials to be used
Identify methods to measure the project's outcomes.
Participate in English speaking practice sessions and experience-sharing workshops for students at the center.
Week 2
Dynamic: Setting up the "Book Club", present the books to be cover during the project and explain the dynamic to the beneficiaries.
Organize a quiz show-style activity where teams of beneficiaries answer questions related to math, vocabulary, or general knowledge.
Setting up a buddy system for the beneficiaries to track their development
Setting up a creative systems to increase the math knowledge of the beneficiaries "Creative Math" (puzzles, games, group activities)
Dynamic: Introduce beneficiaries to basic vocabulary and phrases in a new language through engaging and interactive games. (eg. Games like Scrabble, Pictionary, or Charades)
Participate in English communication practice sessions and experience-sharing workshops for students at the center.
Organize games and activities for children to practice English communication (e.g., creating quizzes, learning English through songs).
Join 1-hour English speaking practice classes (talking about topics like family, work, hobbies, etc.) or cultural exchange sessions involving both students from the center and external students.
Take part as a guest speaker in English sharing classes organized by the English center and local universities.
Collaborate with the center to organize workshops, events, or outdoor activities for students.
Discuss weekly KPIs and work with the project manager to evaluate the effectiveness of activities.
Work with the center to document volunteer activities and use images to promote them on social media platforms.
Week 3
Weekly "Book Club" Meeting
Run dynamics to strengthen what was learned in the lesson of the week. (math games, speaking club, lab practice, etc)
Run lessons based on the needs of the student or the school (maths, reading skills, foreign language, etc).
Collaborate with the center to organize workshops, events, or outdoor activities for students.
Take part as a guest speaker in English sharing classes organized by the English center and local universities.
Join 1-hour English speaking practice classes (talking about topics like family, work, hobbies, etc.) or cultural exchange sessions involving both students from the center and external students.

Debrief the impact of the project, how the beneficiaries developed, discuss about what went well and even better if and include this in the report
Closing day with beneficiaries
Build final project report and presented to AIESEC members and NGO/non-profit representatives.
Analyse data to determinate outcome/impact results (level of awareness of beneficiaries post-project activities).
Collect data from beneficiaries (you can use surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.)
Continue the tasks from Week 5.
Align with the project manager on how to record data, teaching programs, and materials to be handed over to the next group of volunteers.
Prepare the final project report and present it to AIESEC members and partner representatives.
