Project Eco City [6 weeks]
The project aims to impact the SDG #12 by raising awareness about the importance of sustainable communities & lifestyle through volunteer's experiences

Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Guidance and teaching in the activities that its doing in the farm with daily activities such as gardening, farm maintenance, animal care animal feeding
Onboarding space with partner representatives to understand the current scenario, beneficiaries and discuss about the outcome of the project
Introductory session with the beneficiaries, presentation of the volunteers and project objectives.
Run the initial assessment needed for measuring the outcome/impact of the project
Preparing the activities that will be done in the following weeks and receiving feedback from the partners and AIESEC
Create an implementation plan on how the project should unfold and determine materials to be used
The NGO will give to the volunteer a brochure where it can find all the kind of bird that get to Ceiba Ganadito
Week 2
Capture and document the fieldwork, then create a reel or post to share on social media, helping to raise awareness and promote the project’s impact.
A bird identification and classification guide, the foundation provides to the volunteer a brochure at the start of the experience, so the volunteer can record the different bird species you spot on the farm during their stay.
Mark the areas where turtles nest, measure the nest area, and monitor the egg incubation process for safety and research purposes. (This will depend on the weather, the season, and whether there are turtles on the beach.)
Assistance with the foundation’s community projects
Beach cleanup, collecting trash, and bringing waste back to the camp (It will depend on the weather)
Assistance with composting
Gardening and planting assistance for 3 days or more (the foundation has its own vegetable garden where they grow certain vegetables for their own consumption)
Assistance with building or improving facilities needed by the farm (When necessary and upon request)
Hiking trips to explore and mushroom identification (there may be changes, depending on the weather)
Campsite beautification
Woodcarving workshop
Assistance on the farm with daily activities such as gardening, farm maintenance, animal care and feeding
Shadowing phase with partner on current agriculture practices
Research and analyze: Sustainable practices and learnings for agriculture work
Workshop: Present to the partners Good Case Practices on agriculture activities that has been developed on recent studies and come up with an implementation plan together
Fieldwork: Animal Welfare in sustainable farming
Week 3

Round Table: Responsible Consumption in our day-by-day life e.g water and energy control, food waste, obsolete devices usage, fashion industry and sustainability...
Outdoor activities e.g Treasure hunting with childrens in contact with the nature, Artistic expression with teens using recycling materials, Running or other human-powered activities for young adults and adults
Research and analyze: Current sustainable practices and responsible consumption actions the partner has
Documenting sustainable lifestyle practices introduced and implemented in the partners' site

Analyse data to determinate outcome/impact results (level of awareness of beneficiaries post-project activities).
Closing day with beneficiaries
Debrief the impact of the project, how the beneficiaries developed, discuss about what went well and even better if and include this in the report
