The project aims to impact SDG #13 by educating communities about climate change and building action plans to reduce critical factors affecting the environment.

Working hours

Monday to Friday, - 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Project Activities

  • Week 1
    Presentation of the facility to the volunteers by the staff
    Training for educator training
    Alignment space between the volunteer and the organization to assess the activities to be done;
    Determine measure of outcome system and material to be use
    Onboarding space with opportunity provider representative to understand the context and urgent needs of the community regarding climate change
    Create and preparatory material for the sessions,dynamics and workshops of the following weeks.
    Analyse country and local issues regarding climate change.
  • Week 2
    get to know and interaction with children
    activities, games and workshops, regarding environmental protection
    Introductory session with the beneficiaries, presentation of the volunteers and project objectives.
    Documentary viewings about climate change.
    Round table: Discuss the causes and effects of climate change with the students.
    Lab practice: Practical demonstration of greenhouse effect.
    Let participants do research on how climate change has affected their community (sea level rise, temperature rise, desertification etc.)
    beginning of project (don't be afraid ) that focuses on the benefits of bees and vertical knowledge acquistion
  • Week 3
    Round table: Use the Climate Change Scorecard to discuss ways to reduce greenhouse gas pollution at home and at school.
    Workshop: The 3 R's of ecology
    Continuation of various workshops regarding bees and the environment
    Round table: Discussion and sharings about each participants countries reality about climate action initiatives
    Practice: Ask students if they can think of other ways to save energy, reduce pollution or remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Add their ideas to the scorecard.
  • Week 4
    sharing of workshops by volunteers regarding environmental issues in their home country
    Workshop: Alternatives for carb footprint. How to be more sustainable at home?
    Round Table: Let people calculate their current carbon footprint based on their lifestyle
    Practice: Together with the students run a climate awareness events for social media. You can think on a catchy hashtag and encourage students to use their platforms to share knowledge. In case of no internet, you can run a one day physical awareness campaign
    Workshop: Carbon footprint and the Butterfly Effect of our daily lifestyle choices to Climate Change
    developing reflections regarding one's lifestyle and how to improve it
    workshops on how to be more sustainable in the daily routine
  • Week 5
    Build an "Ambassadorship Program" to carryout the activities for next phases to keep long lasting sustainable practices in the school.
    Fieldwork: Plant a tree or garden at school, help your school become “greener”
    Create a competition/challenge for participants to change their lifestyle (recycling, composting etc
    "Earth Hour" Session (WWF). Stopping every activity for an hour.
    Round table using climate change scoreboard to discuss how to reduce greenhouse effect, pollution during summer center
  • Week 6
    Collect data from project beneficiaries (you can use surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.)
    Build final project report and presented to AIESEC members and NGO/non-profit representatives.
    Analyse data to determinate outcome results.
    Closing space with beneficiaries.
    Evaluation of the impact achieved through the project: - ● Sharing of what has been learned - ● Evaluation of the impact achieved through the project, sharing what was learned, organization with the company on the topic of sustainability
