Project Speaking Club
The project aims to contribute to SDG #4 by providing and opening space for quality education for people of all ages, ensuring educational opportunities from initial literacy to other subjects such as mathematics, science and languages.

Working hours

Monday to Friday, - 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Project Activities

  • Week 1
    Onboarding space with school representative to understand current scenario. What are the main needs of the students? (maths, reading, foreign language, etc)
    Setting up a buddy system for the beneficiaries/learners
    Design and create educational materials (grammar books, basic numerical books etc. )
    Training on how to manage and engage with project beneficiaries
    Determinate measure of outcome system and material to be use
  • Week 2
    Introductory session about the project and presentation of the volunteer to the students
    Conduct initial assessment with beneficiaries to measure the knowledge of the topics to be cover by the project. (You can also use official data from the school)
    Creating a PDP for each participant and tracking their improvement weekly by a coaching system
    Dynamic: Setting up the "Book Club", present the books to be cover during the project and explain the dynamic to the beneficiaries.

  • Week 3
    Run lessons based on the needs of the student or the school (maths, reading skills, foreign language, etc).
    Run dynamics to strengthen what was learned in the lesson of the week. (math games, speaking club, lab practice, etc)
    Weekly "Book Club" Meeting
    Run personalized coaching meeting
    Run weekly tests to assess main learnings from the week
  • Week 4
    Run lessons based on the needs of the student or the school (maths, reading skills, foreign language, etc).
    Run dynamics to strengthen what was learned in the lesson of the week. (math games, speaking club, lab practice, etc)
    Weekly "Book Club" Meeting

  • Week 5

  • Week 6
    Closing: Conduct a closing space for student to showcase what they learn, it can include a challenge or competition among the students (math, reading, speaking, art competition).
    Collect data from project beneficiaries (you can use surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.)
    Analyse data to determinate outcome results (include weekly test on the analysis)
    Build final project report and present it to AIESEC members and school representatives.
