Role

Responsibilities
  • To develop practical skills in nutraceutical and functional food formulation, product development, optimization, evaluation, and quality assessment.
  • To provide hands-on training in developing innovative products such as iron-fortified chocolates, functional chocolates, prebiotic and probiotic products, and functional beverages.
  • To familiarize students with the selection and incorporation of vitamins, minerals, herbal ingredients, bioactive compounds, prebiotics, probiotics, and other functional ingredients.
  • To provide practical exposure to fortification strategies, ingredient compatibility, formulation optimization, sensory considerations, stability, packaging, and storage.
  • To develop skills in physicochemical and quality evaluation of fianctional food and nutraceutical products, including relevant stability and microbial-quality assessments.
  • To familiarize students with GMP, GLP, SOPS, documentation, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and basic regulatory considerations applicable to nutraceutical and functional food development.
