Role
Responsibilities
- Support the development of autonomous flight functions for drone platforms
- Contribute to software modules for GPS-denied navigation, including vision-based, inertial, and sensor-fusion approaches
- Assist in developing and validating terrain mapping and environment perception algorithms
- Work on target detection, tracking, and recognition using onboard sensing systems
- Support integration of sensors such as IMU, GNSS, cameras, LiDAR, rangefinders, and laser-based modules
- Develop, test, and debug embedded and high-level software for flight control and mission functions
- Participate in simulation, bench testing, and flight testing activities
- Analyze flight data, sensor logs, and system performance to improve robustness
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers on system architecture, interfaces, and validation
Candidate Profile
- Good understanding of programming fundamentals and software development practices. Interest in autonomous systems, drones, robotics, navigation, or computer vision.
- Basic knowledge of one or more of the following:
- C / C++ / Python
- Embedded systems or microcontrollers Sensor integration and communication protocols Control systems or state estimation Computer vision / image processing
- Mapping, SLAM, or navigation algorithms Comfortable working in a practical engineering environment with lab and field activities.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently while collaborating in a multidisciplinary team.
