Role

Responsibilities
  • Support the development of autonomous flight functions for drone platforms
  • Contribute to software modules for GPS-denied navigation, including vision-based, inertial, and sensor-fusion approaches
  • Assist in developing and validating terrain mapping and environment perception algorithms
  • Work on target detection, tracking, and recognition using onboard sensing systems
  • Support integration of sensors such as IMU, GNSS, cameras, LiDAR, rangefinders, and laser-based modules
  • Develop, test, and debug embedded and high-level software for flight control and mission functions
  • Participate in simulation, bench testing, and flight testing activities
  • Analyze flight data, sensor logs, and system performance to improve robustness
  • Collaborate with hardware and software engineers on system architecture, interfaces, and validation

Candidate Profile 

  1. Good understanding of programming fundamentals and software development practices. Interest in autonomous systems, drones, robotics, navigation, or computer vision. 
  2. Basic knowledge of one or more of the following: 
  • C / C++ / Python 
  • Embedded systems or microcontrollers Sensor integration and communication protocols Control systems or state estimation Computer vision / image processing 
  • Mapping, SLAM, or navigation algorithms Comfortable working in a practical engineering environment with lab and field activities. 
  • Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
  • Able to work independently while collaborating in a multidisciplinary team.
