About M.A.H.E.
Role
1. Review the project brief, objectives, and supporting material to understand the scope and expected outcome.
2. Carry out the main task described in the submission, including 1. analyze and optimize suspension geometries for improved vibration isolation in gravitational wave detectors. 2. develop analytical and numerical models to evaluate material properties and their impact on noise reduction. 3. simulate suspension system dynamics using matlab or python to assess low-frequency performance. 4. investigate damping mechanisms and energy loss to enhance the quality factor of the suspension system. 5. document research findings and contribute to technical reports or scientific publications..
3. Develop, implement, or refine the central solution for mirror suspension systems for high-sensitivity gravitational wave detection, whether that involves a model, prototype, simulation, or analytical workflow.
4. Test and evaluate intermediate results, compare alternatives, and improve the approach based on performance or observations.
5. Document methods, assumptions, findings, and final results for reporting, discussion, or publication.
