Marine Corporation Of India was founded in 1989 by Lt.Commander.P.S.ANAND,Indian Navy(Retd) F.I.MAR.E.(India), M.I.MAR.E (London),Chartered Engineer (U.K), together with his son Er.D.S.ANAND(Shahji Anand),B.E., F.I.MAR.E., F.I.E, F.I.I.W., Chartered Engineer, M.B.A. (USA).
It's a father & son team catering to the needs of vessels calling at Visakhapatnam Port, Kakinada and Paradip Port in particular & also attending to calls for repair works in India and abroad. Besides father & son, the staff comprises highly qualified, dedicated and experienced marine engineers, technicians and highly skilled workers of various trades.
Role
Responsibilities
Market Research:
- Study market trends and competitor activities in cities where the company has branches.
- Identify potential business opportunities and new customer segments.
- Prepare concise reports summarizing findings and strategic recommendations.
Lead Generation & Outreach:
- Conduct cold calls and outreach to potential clients and partners.
- Support follow-ups on leads and maintain CRM (if applicable).
- Assist the business team in developing client acquisition strategies.
Branch Coordination:
- Act as a communication bridge between the main office and regional branches.
- Facilitate exchange of operational updates, client information, and project status.
- Ensure alignment on corporate messaging and documentation standards.
Documentation & Translation:
- Translate documents and emails between English and the interns native language (if required).
- Prepare and verify documentation related to client communication, internal memos, and proposals.
- Maintain organized digital records of all inter-branch communication and reports.
Reporting & Communication:
- Participate in weekly review meetings with the main office.
- Create periodic reports on progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Propose actionable insights based on market data.
