About M.A.H.E.

M.A.H.E. is a premier research institute in various disciplines and has been awarded the "institute of eminence" title. Found in 1953, M.A.H.E. has pioneered education and has been the alma mater for many successful individuals.

Role

Responsibilities
  1. The intern will develop an analytical method using UV spectroscopy to assess the composition, drug release profile, and stability of the prepared films. This will involve calibrating the instrument, preparing standard solutions, and analyzing absorbance data to determine the concentration of the antibiotic in the films.
  2. The intern will be responsible for preparing films that contain a biomaterial combined with an antibiotic for topical wound dressing applications. This process will require precise formulation techniques to ensure uniform dispersion of the active ingredient and desired film properties.
  3. The characterization of the films will be a key activity, involving the evaluation of their physical, mechanical, and chemical properties. The intern will conduct tests to determine parameters such as thickness, flexibility, and drug content uniformity to assess their suitability for wound dressing applications.
  4. The intern will study the stability of the films over time by analyzing changes in their physical and chemical properties under different storage conditions. This will involve monitoring drug degradation, moisture absorption, and overall film integrity to ensure long-term effectiveness.
  5. The preparation of solutions with different concentrations will be another important task. The intern will work with various chemical formulations, ensuring accuracy in measurements and dilutions to optimize the antibiotic-loaded biomaterial films for effective topical application.
