In our office in Utrecht that’s filled with plants and green, we want to change the manual practices of pharmaceutical logistics in a sustainable way.

Role

Responsibilities

Participate in the Agile Process:

This means you do the Daily Standup every morning, be part of Refinement sessions, as well as the regular Sprint Review, Retrospective and Planning sessions, and during the Sprint perform testing activities on individual user stories.

Develop Behat Tests

A core activity is the maintenance and keeping up-to-date of our Behat test suite. This test suite currently contains more than 8000 individual testing scenarios, and it is important that these are all actual. Whenever a feature is added, new tests might need to be added, and existing tests will need to be updating.

Test Suite Maintenance

For such a large test suite, existing tests should be revisited frequently to make sure they are still consistent as well as performant. Test performance in general is a challenge that requires constant attention. Also the test suite itself relies on software to run the tests themselves, which are named ‘Contexts’ and these need to be written and maintained as well.

Bug Analysis

In this role you will also be involved with bug analysis and resolution. Issues reported by customers or identified by our tools need to be investigated and typically our test suite needs to be adjusted on that. Often bug resolution starts with writing a specific test that reproduces the issue

Release Management

Depending on your progression, you will also play a role in our release management process, which can involve exploratory testing prior to release, UI

testing of the software that cannot be automated, or performing a so-called Post Release Evaluation of our software
