Emerged in 1980 out of a project to develop alternative education provision in the South West of England, ASDAN has a successful history of working alongside mainstream and special schools, further education colleges, pupil referral units, local authorities and a variety of voluntary and community organizations across the UK and the rest of the world. We aim to: • celebrate the diversity of multi-talented young people Introduction • encourage, engage and motivate learners • develop skills for learning, skills for employment, skills for life • promote active and experiential learning • reward a range of learning styles and contexts • make learning relevant and transferable
