Volkswagen International Finance N.V. is part of the VW group of companies and is active as an international financing company working for the VW central treasury in Germany. We issue commercial papers and bonds in several international markets in several currencies. On the other hand, we grant loans to group companies worldwide. Our office in Amsterdam has a professional staff of 13 and we are currently looking for a Trainee Treasury Officer.

Role

Responsibilities

What you will do:

You will be working in a small team, reporting directly to the Head of Treasury Back Office:

  • Preparing the documentation of transactions, loans taken (notes issued), loans granted and related derivatives;
  • Maintaining the treasury system with all transaction details;
  • Coordination and communication in connection with all financial transactions;
  • Preparation, checking and execution of the payment instructions related to the above;
  • Cash management in all currencies, ensuring funds are available to meet all obligations and avoiding excess idle funds;
  • FX Risk and Interest Rate Risk management in consultation with the Head of Back Office and/or the Management of the Company;
  • Assisting with organisation of documentation, projects and testing of new features in the treasury system.

What you will bring:

  • You are pro-active and independent;
  • You have a degree in Economics/Finance (Bachelor or Master) or similar by experience. 2/3 years treasury experience in an international environment;
  • You speak fluent English, both written and spoken (Dutch or German is a plus);
  • You are proficient in MS Office (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
  • You learn fast;
  • You are accurate and work structured.
