Project
The project aims to contribute to SDG #4 by providing and opening space for quality education for people of all ages, ensuring educational opportunities from initial literacy to other subjects such as mathematics, science and languages.

Role

Project Activities

Week 1
Help create an engaging classroom atmosphere and organize games for students.
Assist in teaching classes (starting as a teaching assistant and carrying out assigned tasks).
Support welcoming and receiving students.
Prepare lesson plans before classes.
The center provides orientation and guidance to help volunteers become familiar with the environment and their tasks.
Introductory session with the beneficiaries, presentation of the volunteers and project objectives.
Run the initial assessment needed for measuring the outcome/impact of the project
Preparing the activities that will be done in the following weeks and receiving feedback from the partners and AIESEC
Create an implementation plan on how the project should unfold and determine materials to be used
Onboarding space with partner representatives to understand the current scenario, beneficiaries and discuss about the outcome of the project
Support class assessment, monitoring, and reporting.
Organize extracurricular activities for the center’s English club.
Week 2
Dynamic: Introduce beneficiaries to basic vocabulary and phrases in a new language through engaging and interactive games. (eg. Games like Scrabble, Pictionary, or Charades)
Organize a quiz show-style activity where teams of beneficiaries answer questions related to math, vocabulary, or general knowledge.
Setting up a buddy system for the beneficiaries to track their development
Setting up a creative systems to increase the math knowledge of the beneficiaries "Creative Math" (puzzles, games, group activities)
Dynamic: Setting up the "Book Club", present the books to be cover during the project and explain the dynamic to the beneficiaries.
Prepare lesson plans before classes.
Assist teachers during lessons.
Teach small parts of the lesson, lead warm-up activities, and organize games in class.
Support in dismissing students and sending homework to the Customer Service team.
Organize extracurricular activities and cultural exchange activities between students and international volunteers.
Support students with exercises, pronunciation, and group activities.
Participate in classroom observation, learning, and teaching skill development.
Participate in events, workshops, and English camps.
Week 3
Run lessons based on the needs of the student or the school (maths, reading skills, foreign language, etc).
Assist teachers during lessons.
Prepare lesson plans before classes.
Support students with exercises, pronunciation, and group activities.
Organize extracurricular activities and cultural exchange activities between students and international volunteers.
Support in dismissing students and sending homework to the Customer Service team.

Debrief the impact of the project, how the beneficiaries developed, discuss about what went well and even better if and include this in the report
Closing day with beneficiaries
Build final project report and presented to AIESEC members and NGO/non-profit representatives.
Analyse data to determinate outcome/impact results (level of awareness of beneficiaries post-project activities).
Collect data from beneficiaries (you can use surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.)
Continue teaching and leading classes.
Final stage: Organize a summary session for students to present what they have learned. This may include challenges or competitions among students (such as math, reading, speaking, or art competitions).
Prepare the final project report and present it to AIESEC members and the center’s representatives.
